 Shoprite/ Checkers is looking for a Financial Manager. This person will be based in an African country and will report directly to the Divisional Financial Manager: non-RSA operations.

The main objective is: Full Accounting and financial function.

Key performance areas:
- Preparation of monthly management accounting pack
- Monthly profit & Loss reviews and corrections
- Bank Reconciliations for deposit/expense/trade/salaries & US Dollar accounts
- Reconciliation of various accounts on the Trial Balance
- Reconciliation of loan accounts of SA ledger
- All sales & banking and purchases accounts
- Audit queries
- Calculation of duty fees
- Controlling of standing charges
- Improve systems and control measures
- Year end assistance

Qualifications

Preferred/Required:
Job qualifications and experience, academic degrees, personal traits...
 The perfect candidate will fulfill the following requirements:

- Minimum qualification – B Comm or equivalent degree
- Working experience of at least 3 years in a Financial Accounting Field
- Management skills & -/personality
- Fluent in English
- Computer Literate in Microsoft – especially Excel
- Must be able to work overtime

Candidates must be willing to relocate within Africa.
